Sr. Business Analyst


The HighJump team has an open opportunity for a Sr. Business Analyst located in the Denver, CO area. The Sr. Business Analyst drives strategic initiatives to support customer analytics and functional design. This role is comfortable conversing with technology, analytics and business partners of all levels to answer tough questions and build strategic, data-driven capabilities. The Sr. Business Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in various aspects of how to apply software solutions to the supply chain industry.  This role is responsible for taking high-level business requirements for complex features from the Product Owner(s) and creating a functional application design and then breaking that functional design down into workable stories the development team can work on. This position mentors and provides input to effectively design, create, and implement solutions. Further responsibilities include:

  • Represent product management as the Product Owner in scrum teams.
  • Provide vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
  • Build and facilitate a requirements management process and operating rhythm
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Support the PM in definition of product vision, road-map and acceptance criteria
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with Product Manager to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new   functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Work with development team to provide a roadmap update at the agreed upon cadence

  • Bachelor’s degree/ Business Degree
  • Minimum 5 years Business Analyst experience
  • Minimum 4 years Supply Chain and/or Warehouse Management experience
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, planning and time management skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel 20% of the time
