For our location in Blackpool we are looking for

Business Development Manager

Tasks:

  • Prospect, uncover and develop opportunities across the UK & Ireland
  • Work pro-actively with our in-house team of demand generation experts and marketing to gain access to new prospective accounts
  • Build, maintain and own a qualified pipeline of sales prospects, making full use of Salesforce.com to record all sales activity centrally.
  • Engage in complex and long term solutions sales processes, identifying new supporters, addressing challengers and developing internal coaches within an organisation to maximise our conversion rate
  • Co-ordinate support from pre-sales and project management teams inline with your sales process, often involving detail POC’s and funded trials
  • Qualify new opportunities quickly and accurately and as needed progress them through a defines sales engagement process
  • Manage the preparation and submission of formal responses to RFP/RFQ/ITT as and when they occur.
  • Understand your competitor’s activity and develop tools and tactics to counter any potential threats
  • Attend and present and regular trade shows, industry bodies and focused speed dating events through the year and become know as a leading player in the UK logistics & technology sector
  • Understand Voiteq’ s full product portfolio and the client’s business requirements so that Voiteq’s offerings can be maximised
  • Build professional client-relations with all external parties in the industry; prospects, customer and partners
  • Regular liaison with Head of New Business regarding weekly sales activity, reports and quotations / presentations
  • Deliver the sales/margin budget as agreed each year with the Head of New Business
  • Identify potential new customers and using a consultative sales methodology, convert prospect opportunities to successful business wins within clearly defined time limits to deliver yearly sales targets
